The Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Greater Baltimore was chartered in 1996.
The mission of the Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Greater Baltimore is to further the ideals of the Phi Beta Kappa Society by encouraging friendship, scholarship, and cultural interests in the metropolitan area of Baltimore. This Alumni Association seeks to stimulate the minds of our members and enjoy the company of other Phi Beta Kappa members. Since our founding in 1996, we have gotten together with enthusiastic community members to enjoy programs and events at local museums, music venues, universities, art galleries, and historical monuments.
THE NATION'S MOST PRESTIGIOUS ACADEMIC HONOR SOCIETY
Since our founding in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa has celebrated excellence in the liberal arts and sciences and championed freedom of thought. As America’s most prestigious academic honor society, we are uniquely equipped to advocate for the value and benefits of liberal arts and sciences education. We do this because we believe the curiosity and creativity cultivated by a liberal arts and sciences education are essential to making the most of life’s experiences. At Phi Beta Kappa, we are the key that opens doors to lifelong opportunity.
