BALTIMORE ASSOCIATION

The Phi Beta Kappa Society

Since our founding in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa has celebrated excellence in the liberal arts & sciences and championed freedom of thought. As America’s most prestigious academic honor society, we advocate for the value of, and spread the benefits of, liberal arts and sciences education. We have more than half a million members worldwide and over 280 chapters in U.S. colleges and universities. 17 U.S. Presidents, 39 U.S. Supreme Court Justices, and over 130 Nobel Laureates have been members of our society. The Baltimore Association

Chartered in 1996, ours is one of fifty Phi Beta Kappa alumni associations. Most of our members live in the Baltimore area, where we regularly meet to learn, to delight in each other's company, and to engage with our community. Our officers and board ensure that members enjoy a steady stream of stimulating educational events from which they can learn and benefit, alongside periodic social gatherings, tours, and networking events that take place in-person and, in more recent
months, online.
